Welcome to The Glue Guys, a Brooklyn Nets podcast from The Athletic brought to you by Mike Smeltz and Brian Egan focusing on all things Brooklyn Nets and the NBA. The show began when KG and Paul Pierce were still Nets... and somehow The Glue Guys have survived along with the Nets fan base
Two guys - both bespectacled, both of varying but equally unremarkable heights and wingspans, both in no way authorities on the game of basketball - have come together to discuss their shared love, a team that has gone from the losing-est team in the NBA to, well, kind of ok, the Brooklyn Nets.
There will be interviews with analysts, players and fans. It will be weekly, but if any news breaks or if there is a big game Evan may do an emergency podcast.

Marty Lurie was born in Brooklyn, New York on Feb. 1st, 1946. He saw his first baseball game in Ebbets Field in 1954. Marty began his radio career at KECG 88.1 FM in El Cerrito, California. He hosted the Oakland A’s pregame radio show in 1998 which led into all A’s games during both the regular and postseason through 2009. Marty has broadcasted over 2000 pre- and postgame shows in his career.
