This year students have had to quickly adjust to a different kind of schooling, which has led to an increased strain on students, parents and teachers. Parents have had to make changes to their schedule to care for children learning at home, teachers are taking on more work to meet the demands of online-learning and students are at risk of falling behind in classes while in isolation. But as the coronavirus cases rack up in the U.S., states around the country are forced to shut down schools partially and completely to lower the risk of infection. What is the way forward?
