Emily Rose and I discuss Christian supremacy and the erasure of Native culture and heritage. We discuss the mind/body connection and leaning into a gracious attitude towards our body, realizing how it silently does the greatest work for us. Emily Rose is a recent graduate nurse who has worked in hospice for about five years and is excited about beginning a new part of her career. She is Anishinaabe (White Earth Band of Ojibwe) and Jewish and she hopes to use diabetes education to promote health within the framework of Native culture. In her free time, she reads, writes, studies for her boards, and cares for her beloved pet rabbit.

Now that we’ve begun to process our history with toxic religion, we seek to regain autonomy over our minds and bodies from residual narratives, whether cultural or religious; while working towards respecting and empowering the autonomy of others. Together, we seek to rejoin the human race and participate in this chaotic experience of existence Thanks for listening and remember: You are autonomous and so is everyone else.
