Deanna Belleny, MPH, RDN joins the show to chat about how she is progressing the field of dietetics through her role in Diversify Dietetics and helping underserved communities. We talk about the lack of representation in our profession, the experiences of being a dietitian of color, and the importance of mentorship to increase diversity in this field. As a public health practitioner working to improve the healthcare space, she is utilizing her passion to make system level changes in the dietetics field. And of course, we chat about her “Sick of Diet Culture” bio blurb, because, we’re here for that.
