I want to thank you for your time today! I know the topic being discussed on today's episode is one that many of us don't want to look at, but it's for that exact reason that we must listen to what our guest, Natasha, has to say, as well as begin to think about what we can do collectively as a community, as well as individually to make the world a safe place for our children.
Natasha Nascimento, founder and CEO of Redefining Refuge has spent the last decade being an advocate for creating a better world for our children. Opening the first holistic program for trafficked girls here in the Tampa Bay area, Natasha has been recognized as a Community Hero by the Tampa Bay Lightning as well as receiving the Spirit of Humanity award by the DeBartolo Family Foundation.
A blend of faith, courage, humility and integrity; Natasha isn’t just an Advocate fighting for exploited children, she’s an Advocate fighting for the creation of a better world for all children.
In today's episode, Natasha and I discuss what led her to leave her high paying career in finance to pursue her non-profit and how the initial response was not well received. We also expose much of the truth around the sexual exploitation industry, and how pornography is fueling the demand for sex trafficking. I have her share some of the warning signs that parents need to look for, both at home with their children, as well as in public places.
And so much more...
