Vitamin D is often cited as a "key micronutrient" for a reason: it keeps us healthy. While many people in the US are Vitamin D deficient, it's incredibly imperative for people of color as a 2009 study found that "97% of Black Americans and 90% of Latinx people had low vitamin D levels."
