• Government support, with both fiscal and
monetary policy, has been and will continue to be
important until the global pandemic ends.
• The success of the distribution and administration
of newly developed vaccines will determine how
quickly the global economy will be revitalized.
• We were opportunistic in our portfolios in 2020,
buying some corporate bonds early in the year
and avoiding longer term treasuries later in the
year as yields rose.
• We expect pent up demand for goods and
services to bounce back in 2021 and provide us
with opportunities to buy longer term corporate
and government bonds.
