You don't really associate Perth with Trams anymore but 50 years in the 1900's they served as a cornerstone of transport for our growing city.
Back in the 1930's one of the most popular routes for holiday makers ran through the heart of South Perth, connected by the Ferry.
So when the South Perth Historical society and the City of South Perth found out one of the old trams had been found in someone's backyard many years after decommissioning, they started the long process of acquiring the tram, restoring it and turning it into a true look back at Perth's early transport.
